Resumen

In this talk we describe the main technical features of Oracle Text and the kind of applications that you can build with the existing API. As an example we describe the design and implementation of a search engine called Yapa for a controlled environment like a digital library or a corporate Intranet. Yapa takes advantage of the information retrieval features of the Oracle database like classification, clustering, and XML search and provides a visualization interface based on a two-view model that integrates structure and content in the same display.
